Dr. Andrew Yang is a board eligible/certified American Board Foot and Ankle Surgeon, who was born and raised in Southern California. He attended University of California, Irvine where he earned his Bachelors in Biology and then earned his medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Yang graduated near the top of his class with honors and was inducted into the Pi Delta honor society.
Dr. Yang is on staff at Hoag Hospital and multiple surgery centers throughout Orange County. Dr. Yang has clinics in Irvine, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Orange. Dr. Yang has received extensive training in all aspects of the foot and ankle including limb salvage, trauma, and forefoot/rearfoot reconstruction. He has a particular interest in sports medicine, cartilage restoration, and total ankle replacements.
Dr. Yang completed his residency in Denver, CO at Highlands/Presbyterian St. Luke’s where he was trained by some of the most respected foot and ankle surgeons in the field. Many of his attendings are consultants to numerous medical companies, so he has training in the newest advancements in the treatment of foot and ankle pathology. In residency he was exposed to many different rotations including orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, dermatology, and infectious disease. During his last year of residency he was named Chief Resident.
Dr. Yang looks forward to returning back to the warm beaches of California and escaping the cold, snowy winters of Colorado.
